Overall my experience has been mixed. My heating unit is having intermittent issues that are apparently difficult to isolate because they are intermittent. So the trouble shooting is now into day 3. However, the technician has been very professional, works hard, is thorough, and has explained everything. So I am not the happiest customer in the world as I still have system issues, but Five Star Heating and Air Conditioning have been great.
Chad was awesome! Explained the details of my heat pump and found a piece that was wearing out. Fixed in under an hour.

I completed a diagnostic. Found a bad capacitor on the outdoor unit. Replaced capacitor and cycled system, verified refrigerant charge is OK. Running at a 12° superheat. 20 degree delta. Everything is working now as it should.
I completed a diagnostic. On arrival found drain line partially plugged, cleared this drain line out and cycled the system. Checked refrigerant charge and found system under charged running at a 36° superheat. Spoke with customer and at her request charged up unit with 14 ounces of R22refrigerant bringing superheat down to 12°. System is running on departure.
I installed customer thermostat turned off programming and put alert on for filter reminder every 6 months system went into 5 min compressor saver then came on system is on and operational at time of departure.
I completed a diagnostic and found nothing running due to a blown five amp low-voltage fuse on the control board inside the furnace. I replaced this fuse and got the system running again. System is running on my departure.
I provided an estimate on a Five Star Electric Furnace, Honeywell Thermostat and a Five Star Heat Pump.
I completed a diagnostic and I found that the blower motor for the furnace was starting to go out. I ordered a new motor for the customer.
I performed a diagnostic service call on a 15yr old ac that was leaking water. Upon arrival I determined that the drain pan is old and rusted. That could have been where the water leaking from
I completed a diagnostic and replaced an OEM compressor. I also repaired the fan motor wire. System operating normally upon departure.
I completed a full install on a Five Star 2.5 ton electric furnace and a Five Star 14 SEER 2.5 ton heat pump. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement.
I completed a diagnostic. I found the programming was not energizing the reverse valve properly. System is on and cooling the home at time of departure.

I completed a diagnostic on thermostat. I found the batteries were not installed properly. Customer stated there has been issues with thermostat. I replaced the thermostat. System cooling upon departure.

I completed the spring tune. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
